Following in my fathers’ footsteps (after saying I never would..) I joined his successful accounting firm that he had run for over 40 years. This followed my degree and some disgruntled years at a large corporate as part of my university degree. I then spent 5 years managing this practice, whilst building a client base of my own and growing my passion for small business. This was an invaluable experience and has sent me on this pathway, with a mission to combine the personal aspect of traditional accounting with the efficiency that new technology can provide. Having spent time in this role visiting accounting practices all over the country, I quickly learnt that the current accounting landscape for owner managed businesses does not meet the needs of those it is supposed to serve and support. I have heard countless tails from frustrated clients of previous accountants they have used, and this left me with the feeling of “I can do better”, with my aim to reinvent the standard and rebuild trust in this sector of accounting by putting the little guy first.

With this ambition boiling away, I decided it was time to make this dream a reality and put my money where my mouth is. Thus was the start of Pluto Accountancy.

As for my life outside of work, my partner and I have a keen passion for travelling, spending countless nights driving through Europe in our campervan or venturing far and wide from California to the Philippines. When we aren’t on our travels, we are at home with our Australian Labradoodle, Lando. Outside of travelling, my passions revolve around all things sport. Whether it be golf in the summer, skiing in the winter, crossfit or the endless heartbreak watching Spurs brings me most weekends. If that hasn’t caused me enough pain, I am also partial to a charity challenge, so far completing the London marathon, climbing the 3 peaks and several cycling expeditions around Europe, all of which probably came about through an inability to say no!
